Dr. Bidita Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor and Consultant in Clinical Psychology, with more than 18 years of experience in the field. She is serving at Institute of Psychiatry, Kolkata for more than ten years, in the department of Clinical Psychology. She served as Head of the Department for more than six years. As a veteran practitioner, she is associated with many national associations and bodies, operating in the field of mental health. She has also served the role of executive committee member of eastern zone of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologist (IACP), one of the most prominent and active bodies in the field of mental health. She is also President of Indian Association Of Clinical Psychologist – West Bengal Branch.
Bidita had done her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and had been awarded Ph. D. by Ranchi University, where she performed extensive research in the area of Neuropsychology, being one of her core expertise’s. She is an expert psychotherapist with many accolades and credentials from clientele across diverse age group. Psychotherapy and Neuropsychology are her core area of expertise as well as interest. She is also a trained Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner.
Dr. Bhattacharya has also been in academics and research in the field of Clinical Psychology since many years. She has many national and international publications. She is also a reviewer of prominent international journals.
